Hihi hey <3
I am a Dutch rotbtd fan. And ... I'm not so good at English. So I use google translate. I hope it is readable. If it does not...give than google translate the blame x3.

My blog is anything and everything. I post things I like. Mostly rise of the guardians things. And I hope you like it. s(^o^)/

DAMN IT DISNEY

PFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT BEST RECYCLER EVER

I’d like to see you hand draw full feature length films without ever recycling frames.

With a shit ton of money from other films, theme parks and merchandise there is no need for them to re use old frames

Ah yes, how terrible of them to recycle these frames. How terrible! Let’s use these examples to talk about how Disney is acting as a company today! That’s fair, isn’t it? I guess it is, considering the point of this post was communicated in such a nicely organised, visually appealing gifset, yes?
It certainly doesn’t matter that the most recent movie in this set was released in 1973, and that the earliest was released in 1937! Why should it?

Let’s take a look at the release dates of the films shown in these gifs.

The Aristocats (1970)
Robin Hood (1973)

Bambi (1942)
The Sword in the Stone (1963)

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)
The Jungle Book (1967)

Robin Hood (1973)
The Jungle Book (1967)

The Sword in the Stone (1963)
The Jungle Book (1967)

Robin Hood (1973)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

Even when these frames are “recycled”, they’re still changed drastically, and the films are painstakingly animated frame-by-frame. Some of these recycled frames are changing entire silhouettes, and species! Ah yes, such a travesty to have Maid Marian, an anthropomorphic fox, be in the same position as Snow White.

BUT HEY. 3D animating in the 2010s is EXACTLY like 2D animating in the mid 20th century. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse!
(Or you could stick to shitting on the movies that are actually relevant to the issues with modern Disney, instead of the ones that were made before your parents started masturbating.)

This is very important to remember. No matter how discouraged you get, just remember this: Someone out there enjoys your work. If nothing else, do it for them!

It makes me really happy to see this post pop up in my notification feed because there are always tags and comments from aspiring writers/artists/etc who feel encouraged by Mako’s words. It’s very heartening!

Never not reblog inspirational Makoto.
